Plot

Once again, the player takes control of the Postal Dude. After nuking the town of Paradise in Postal 2's expansion Apocalypse Weekend, he moves to it's sister town called Catharsis. With no money and out of work, he seeks out jobs in the town. First, he takes up a job at the local porn shop, cleaning up semen from back rooms with a vacuum cleaner. Throughout the game, he comes across Police forces, eco-zealots, Hockey Moms, Al Qaeda and even a methed-out rhino.

Gameplay

Several gameplay elements from Postal 2 return in Postal 3, such as disembodying and urinating on victims. Weapons such as the Can of gasoline and the Machine Gun also return with the addition of new weapons. Unlike its predecessors, Postal 3 is played in a third-person, over-the-shoulder perspective, allowing for more fluid movement and view. In addition to returning gameplay elements and weapons, unique vehicles are confirmed to be a new feature, such as segways. Later trailers for the game confirmed that there will be multiple choice situations in Postal 3, following the "Bad Path" of Uncle Dave and the Mayor of Catharsis, and the "Good Path" which includes the Dude joining the police force. Running With Scissors said that although following the "Good Path" will be harder, it will offer a longer campaign. One example given was a bank robbery, and Postal Dude had a choice of either helping the robbers by killing all of the Police, or helping the Police by killing all of the robbers.
