Octodad, come dice il sito ufficiale, è un gioco di distruzione, inganno e paternità. Spieghiamo perché queste tre sfaccettature collaborano in un gioco tanto breve quanto comico e divertente. Il gioco è veramente breve ma davvero esilarante. Difficilmente il caro polipo in smoking che cerca di essere un buon padre, anche quando figli e moglie fanno i capricci, non riuscirà a strapparvi un sorriso o una fragorosa risata. Il comparto audio è ben curato, con musichette davvero simpatiche e rilassanti ed effetti sonori appropriati. La grafica è in stile cartoon 3D e l’ambientazione sarà quella della casa del nostro personaggio.

• Inganno: Iniziamo con il dire che Octodad sarebbe anche una normale persona se non fosse… un polipo. Ecco svelato l’inganno Octodad, rullo di tamburi, è un polipo. Solo che finora nessuno se n’è accorto.
• Paternità: Octodad non è un semplice polipo ma si “diletta”, bensì, a fare il papà. Un arduo compito, soprattutto se non hai le ossa.
• Distruzione: Il gioco è in terza persona e noi comanderemo Octodad come una marionetta (Mouse sinistro, piede sinistro; Mouse destro, piede destro) il che sarà abbastanza complicato le prime volte. Inevitabilmente, ovunque passeremo con il nostro personaggio lasceremo una scia di caos e distruzione.
