Safety systems can be enabled by default on applicable trains, including systems such as AWS and PZB.

The PC version includes an Epic graphics setting with increased draw distances and improved shadow quality. Train Sim World 7 uses DirectX 12 and supports DLSS 4.5, including DLAA and upscaling, as well as FSR 4 for upscaling and frame generation. An Enhanced Lighting option is available for TOD4 routes.

On trains operated with guards, guards can open and close passenger doors.
